Who we are
We are a family owned manufacturer of cooked gourmet greenshell™ mussels and clams. Owners, Chris & Trish Redwood have been involved in the mussel farming industry for over 30 years. Chris grew up on Forsyth Island at the remote head of the Marlborough Sounds, where most of their mussel farms are located. Isolation and strong tidal currents make for ideal, grit free growing conditions.
2004 - Ωmega™ Seafood Cooked Gourmet Mussels were launched. Won New Zealand Hospitality Magazine’s Best new Seafood Item.
Where we’re from
Marlborough is the name given to the province at the north eastern tip of New Zealand’s South Island. The area is famed for its sunshine, majestic landscapes and gourmet produce including seafood, fruit and wine. The Marlborough Sounds are a collection of fiords and are the undeniable jewel in the region’s crown.
